Great interest in participating in the work of the first Inno Fab Lab in North Macedonia

Young people showed great interest in participating in the work of the first Inno Fab Lab in the country, established with the support of the Fund for Innovation and Technology Development, within the “Challenge to establish FAB LABS production laboratories”.

At the first call intended for young people who have innovative ideas, which ended on June 30, 2022, 38 candidates applied, that are between the ages of 15 and 29 who want to join the work of Inno Fab Lab, which is located at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy in Skopje.

The largest number of participants are high school students (58%) and students (37%), and half of the participants are girls.

The first teams are currently being formed and soon will start their work in the Inno Fab Lab production and prototyping laboratory, which is equipped with the latest generation of 3D printers, a CNC machine for wood, metal and plastic, a plastic recycling line and composite materials press.

The teams will develop innovative ideas and bring them to the prototype stage.

This laboratory will give young people access to advanced technologies and materials, and in this way all young enthusiasts will be given the opportunity to advance their knowledge and skills, as well as gain experience through direct participation in scientific research and influence on the development of their career and society.
