DFIZHT Festim Halili mbajti fjalim në Forumin e Biznesit, Maqedonia e Veriut – Bullgaria
DFITD Festim Halili addressed today the Business Forum between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Bulgaria, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the R. Of North Macedonia.
Within the panel “IT and industry development”, DFITD Halili emphasized that the information technology industry as the fastest growing sector in the Macedonian economy, simultaneously participates in the largest number of projects in the portfolio of projects supported by the Fund for Innovation and Technology Development, i.e. almost 200 co-financed projects, worth 24 million euros.
“The fact that we have so far supported over 830 companies with joint investments of almost 100 million euros, makes the Fund a leading government institution for supporting micro, small and medium-sized innovative companies. I am really proud to say that we have a large number of inspiring and successful entrepreneurial stories, which show us every day that the Republic of North Macedonia has entrepreneurs who have the potential and capacity to create global success that will be a source of pride for our nation. As an example, I would point out the startup companies that we have supported: “Vigo Digital”, which with the Keep me Safe option of the bicycle application – Bike Computer, aims to send emergency SMS messages with the location in the event of a cyclist accident. The artificial intelligence company “Codewell” is behind Donna – the first human resources assistant based on artificial intelligence that represents a completely new, innovative and automated performance management process. The same company also created the first AI digital assistant for state aid in the region, which will be implemented in FITD and two other state institutions in the Republic of North Macedonia. Furthermore, the “Swift Data” company, which with the Solar Data Collector project is a combination of hardware and software components that enables the calculation of the energy that can be produced from photovoltaic panels at a given location” said Festim Halili, director of the Fund for Innovation and Technological Development.
The ” Business Forum of North Macedonia – Bulgaria ” is a platform where both sides have the opportunity for a concrete, constructive discussion and will determine the steps that need to be taken to achieve greater progress in the coming years.
